Senior Sales Manager Virtual Advertisement

Job Description

  • Responsible for Virtual Advertisement marketing rights sales and respective strategy (incl. budget)
  • Structure the sales process and be an expert in selling innovative ad packages of new inventory
  • Monitor the market and identify potential new clients/opportunities
  • Create leads and opportunities with media agencies, sponsorship agencies and broadcasters
  • Sell company properties rights packages as well as new/additional inventories
  • Structure innovative ad packages and sales processes
  • Evaluate the inventory, markets, categories, minutes and audience
  • Negotiate and finalize the sales agreements
  • Build capabilities to identify the right approach selling new propositions by packaging new inventories in different forms and educate and alignment of our sales team (incl. subsidiaries)
  • Approach and explore new market opportunities, focusing on broadcaster / agency contacts and sales for different markets / regions
  • Constantly follow-up on current clients and potential additional opportunities
  • Support the Head of Virtual Advertisement Solutions in the conceptual and strategic planning of Virtual Advertisement solutions and technologies
  • Align with HoVA for the best business models to approach potential rights holders and estimate the relative risk / opportunity
  • Report regularly (internal) on status of marketing rights value and competitors marketing deals
  • Initiate in the Group’s cross-selling activities and regularly coordinate sales approach with other company properties
  • Support the acquisition of new rights holders and potential inventories
  • Overview the Sales Research and Data Analyst in identifying of the rights evaluation, the sponsoring structure and potential advertisement minutes to manage for potential rights holders
  • Create innovative and valuable customer oriented packaging incl. bundling and cross selling of other company assets
  • Gain full understanding of the potential of the technology and respective business models
  • Be active part of technology demonstration to potential / existing rights holders (if needed to support commercialization approach with rights holders
  • General and further estimation of additional/new (virtual) advertisement opportunities (carpets etc)
  • Investigate and seek for synergies with other internal departments



  • Advanced education (university degree in business administration, law, with major in sales/marketing.)



  • At least 5 to 7 years of marketing sales/sponsorship sales experience in an international environment (sports industry, entertainment business, agency, federation, club, etc.)
  • Broad network/portfolio of world wide sponsorship contacts with in-depth personal relationships and direct access to decision-makers
  • Very good understanding of sport sponsoring program in general broad experience of sport event dynamics
  • Broad experience of sports federation dynamics
