Bayern Munich and Roma have some fun with 2018/19 kit launches

The end of the club football season is the time for kit launches for next year.

Like with transfer announcement videos, this is a chance for the club to take ownership of a moment that matters greatly to fans.

That’s why clubs are announcing in style these days. EFL Championship club Reading, for example, sent their kit into space the other year – literally launching their new kit.

This year, Bayern Munich have taken their commitment to growing their fanbase in the US to a new level, launching their kit in Time Square in New York City.

As the German giants have partnered with Bleacher Report to set up a watch party for their Champions League game against Real Madrid, it’s clear that the club is going the extra mile in its target territory.

Meanwhile, AS Roma have been going the extra mile by reaching out to their fans on social media – as per usual these days for the Giallorossi.

The Italian club have asked 12 of their fans to come up with a concept design ahead of the launch of next season’s kit, and have compiled the efforts together on Twitter and on the club’s website – with some beautiful attempts taking pride of place.

We hope their real kit is as nice.
