The MilestonePod also tracks the heel/mid/toe personal foot strike tendency in percentages. Milestone also promise that the battery within the device will last longer than the typical pair of shoes which will be a relief to all those who think this is just another pedometre. It is also durable against rain, snow and sweat.

Milestone have thought of everything the everyday runner could possibly encounter with the pod doubling as a sort of medical ID card. It has the capability to store a runner’s/walker’s current medications, allergies, insurance and important contacts. If needed, this information can be retrieved by medical staff via USB.

The app also offers various graphs to help illustrate a user’s performance and progress during a session. It charts statistics such as pace versus stride length and pace versus cadence.
