Liverpool use Facebook Live donation tool to raise money for LFC foundation
A star-studded Liverpool Legends squad featuring the likes of Xabi Alonso, Luis Garcia, Steven Gerrard, Dirk Kuyt and many more greats will line up at Anfield later today (24th March) to take on their counterparts from Bayern Munich Legends.
The game is set to raise money for Liverpool’s official charity, the LFC Foundation, and kicks off at 3pm GMT.
If you can’t make it to the ground, the highly-anticipated, sell-out match will be broadcast live on the club’s global Facebook page and will include Facebook’s live charity donation tool. The donate button is a quick way for fans watching the live broadcast to donate directly to the LFC Foundation without leaving the game.
Throughout the broadcast, the club will be providing fans with an inside look into the LFC Foundation and highlighting the impact that public donations have made in the past.
The day has finally arrived!! It's time for #LFCFCBLegends! ????

The Reds will also be catching up with past legends before, throughout and post-match to get their take on returning back to Anfield.
During the international break, there is still massive attention on the club game, with plenty of fans missing their ususal footballing schedule. So the club has a megaphone for its charity match this afternoon, and has decided to use it to raise money for its foundation. Under these circumstances, the live donation tool is potentially a very powerful method of raising money whilst keeping fans entertained during the break.
