Tottenham Hotspur unveil new kit on Facebook Live

After Chelsea FC became the first club in the Premier League to unveil their new home kit on Facebook Live, Tottenham Hotspur have released early this morning their new kits via the streaming platform featuring Christian Eriksen, Kieran Trippier, Michel Vorm and the new signing Victor Wanyama.

First, a presenter asked  the four players to talk about their holidays and what they were looking forward to next season. Then, after a short trailer, they appeared with the new home, away and third Tottenham Hotspur kits for the 2016/2017 season. Players then answered questions via the Facebook Live comment section of the stream.

It’s becoming a trend now that clubs are taking to streaming platforms for this kind of event, giving viewers a unique and behind-the-scenes kit unveiling experience – probably due to the reach of the platform.

It certainly won’t be the last time a club takes this approach with the video attracting around 50,000 views in an hour. This is particularly striking when you consider that the platform gives brands a channel to tailor the content to users’ needs as well as the ability for the content to spread organically.

Take a look at the video below.
