Vauxhall launches #GetIN campaign ahead of EUROs

England football stars Jamie Vardy, Chris Smalling and legend Robbie Fowler have launched Vauxhall’s #GetIN digital campaign ahead of the EUROs in France kicking off on 10 June.

Attempting to drum up local support for the England team before the tournament, the former players swapped their football boots for scorecards to hunt for the ultimate #GetIN goal celebration. Hosted by TV presenter Reggie Yates, the entertaining video is Vauxhall’s take on Britain’s Got Talent, however, with the players ranking the entrants’ goal celebrations.

From breakdancers and Judo champions to yodlers, the video very much follows along the same lines of the talent show that has attracted so many fans, showcasing some extremely weird but wonderful acts. In fact, Chris Smalling even gets up and demonstrates a Judo move, revealing that he was a former Judo champion himself.

In what is definitely a strange but refreshing way to attract support for the national team, head of sponsorship and events at Vauxhall Motors Andrew Curley said that the talent show was enjoyed by every demographic and that they wanted to bring that element to this digital campaign.

“We wanted to do something that brought the public together to get behind the boys this summer”, he said.

“The summer of football gives us lots of collective moments to celebrate from a winning goal on the pitch to a BBQ with friends with the game on – these are the #GetIN moments we want England to celebrate together. As official sponsor of the England football team, Vauxhall Motors launched #GetIN to find a signature celebration that the public can collectively adopt to show their support for England. ”

“To inspire the public to get involved, we’ll be hosting the audition content as well as other fun content on vauxhallfootball.co.uk and search #GetIN for more behind-the- scenes content, competitions and exclusive access to the teams.”

To propel the nations into the EUROs, Vauxhall have also used players from Northern Ireland and Wales in the #GetIN campaign. Take a look at the video below.
