Team GB and Panasonic launch #SuperFans campaign

To celebrate 100 days out from the start of the Rio Olympic Games, Team GB and its official partner Panasonic have rolled out a social media campaign to draw more support from fans.

To show their support and passion for Team GB, fans are invited to share photos and videos via social media channels using the hashtag #SuperFans.

Every tagged post will be collated on a dedicated website where fans and athletes can visit to see how their country is supporting them 6,000 miles away.

To launch the activation, Panasonic enlisted former skeleton racer and Olympic gold medallist Amy Williams to encourage fans to not only get behind Team GB but show their support through a variety of ways.

Panasonic UK’s head of communications Gaele Lalahy said that since the London 2012 Olympics, social media has significantly changed and it’s become a primary focus for brands.

“The Olympics unites people around the world like no other sporting event can, and we are excited about capturing the Olympic spirit and championing Britain’s Olympic fandom through this campaign,” she said.
