Storyz acquires sports digital agency nineteeneightyfour

Storyz, the sports media company, has acquired sports digital marketing agency NineteenEightyFour.

Founded in 2013, NineteenEightyFour works  with brands and rights holders to activate their sponsorships through digital channels. Storyz, founded by digital and mobile entrepreneur Tommy Jensen, creates new brand stories through matching rights holders and partners to help create experiences, content and real value for fans and consumers.

Storyz will assume all of NineteenEightyFour’s assets and partnerships, including the sport social media league table platform SportSocial. SportSocial tracks near-time social media statistics of nearly 500 sports teams across Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, GooglePlus and Instagram.  It enables users to view growth over weekly and monthly periods and identify key trends.

Tommy Jensen, CEO of Storyz said “NineteenEightyFour’s innovative platform development grabbed our attention. It was clear from day one that we shared a similar view of the marketplace and it makes sense to combine our assets to deliver excellent value to our current and future clients.”

Aaron Jaffery, Managing Partner of NineteenEightyFour said “We are excited to be joining the Storyz family. Storyz has a unique vision based on driving and measuring return on investment for sponsorship through activating social and mobile channels, something we believe in passionately.”

Aaron Jaffery will join the Storyz team on a consultancy basis.
