It’s ‘Game On’ or ‘Game Over’ in NB football’s latest digital campaign

New Balance Football has released two new pairs of boots, using a number of its ambassadors to promote the new products via social media.

Premier League footballers Alvaro Negredo, Jesus Navas and Aaron Ramsey were all involved in the launch, which was amplified on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and Snapchat. The players have also been heavily involved in the development of its boots – an aspect the company is hyping in its bid to stand apart from rival brands.

The new boots include the Furon and a variation of the Visaro in “Bright Cherry, Galaxy and Firefly” (red, black, and yellow) and the brand’s ambassadors were on hand to showcase them in Liverpool, as the company continues its push to displace Puma as the third biggest football brand in the world.

General Manager of New Balance Football Richard Wright said that whilst they were relatively new to the football paradigm, they were already producing great products with the advice from some of the best players in the world.

“We’ve been working with our pro-players to develop the Furon boot and we’re really proud of this updated version”.

The NB Football Snapchat covered the event in real-time with sneak-peaks from the launch and player take-overs, before their official video – created by Sports on Screen – was released across social media.

Following in the footsteps of Adidas’ X and ACE , the range focuses on a style of play rather than a particular position on the field to resonate with players of all levels. The Visaro is for creative players who make chances – Game On – while the Furon is for those who take chances, meaning its Game Over for the opposition:

New Balance moved into football little over a year ago when it took over from Warrior Sports as official kit supplier for Liverpool, but they are already making huge strides in the market.

The Boston-based manufacturer now has deals with Celtic, Stoke City, Sevilla and Porto, and is gaining momentum with the consistent creation of new boots and amplifying the launches on social media.
