FC Porto players train with GoPro Camera’s

In an innovative and pretty cool move by the club took place during the traditional open training on the first day of the year at the Dragon Stadium with 10,000 fans in attendance. For the first time in Portugal, a club used the GoPro technology, the most versatile in the world capturing images of action, which makes it possible to show the fans what it feels like to be on the pitch, helping them feel the thrill of training with the Portuguese champions.

With 10 players equipped with video cameras GoPro HERO 3 + Black Edition, supplied by the company D’Maker, you can see the training at FC Porto through images and angles never seen before, revealing how the players see the game, the exercises they do to warm up and what it looks like to line up a shot at goal in the famous stadium.

Always one for keeping an eye on the latest trends, FC Porto continues to innovate and keep up with other ‘bigger’ clubs by joining the GoPro technology in capturing this type of video footage.  The type the fans love and am sure will garner plenty of views on YouTube in the coming days.
