Digital football channel Ball Street to offer alternative to Sky Sports News on Deadline Day

Digital football channel Ball Street has teamed up with leading football sites, blogs, fans and broadcast talent to offer a free and refreshing digital alternative to Sky Sports News on Transfer Deadline Day with a live four-hour stream today, Monday 2nd September.

For those of you who haven’t come across the channel before, Ball Street was co-founded by football fans Matt Wilson (former sales director at talkSPORT and Sport Magazine) and Stuart McDonald who identified that football fans of teams outside of the top six weren’t being catered for by the media. Since creating the initial concept, Ball Street teamed up with Caj Sohal (former head of football at the BBC) and a team of producers who have worked with the likes of ESPN, 5Live and talkSPORT to make it a reality.

Ball Street Transfer Deadline Live will be hosted by presenters Nihal (Radio One) and Marcus Speller (The Football Ramble) and joined by former pro’s such as Ian Wright for a mix of informative and entertaining football coverage on the sport’s busiest business night of the year.

Live statistical analysis will provided on the night by Squawka delivering in-depth views into how a clubs ins and outs will affect their title odds or how it can fill the void they are experiencing in their line ups and tactics.

Beamed from a traditional East End pub in London, Ball Street Transfer Deadline Live will be a highly interactive and audience driven show, utilising the latest social platforms to air discussions and opinions from football experts and fan reaction to the nights proceedings and broadcast live across a number of leading football sites and blog as well as websites such as the Huffington Post UK and RWD Magazine.

The 4-hour live stream will cater to the demands of all football fans, with representatives in the audience from clubs across the Football League and also major contributors and experts from across Europe to discuss the market movements from overseas.

Ball Street Transfer Deadline Live will be aired tonight from 7.30pm on ballstreet.co.uk and broadcast simultaneously across a wide number of websites and blogs.
