Under Armour and the NHL create the “Art Of The Possible”

Under Armour and NHL have both announced a partnership with German software company SAP in order to create the “Art of the Possible”.

Announcing an app that will be able to perfect the user’s workout based off a number of the users’ biometric statistics, Under Armour are looking to utilize what they’re calling “Connected Fitness”.

Under Armour will be able to take data from their sleep patterns, fitness goals, plans for the work day, and other data to bring value about how the user should improve their exercise routine.

As for the NHL, the league wants to digitize every game sheet since 1917 and give fans the ability to interact with the stats from the early days, an aim that’s definitely set to raise eyebrows

To ensure the new digitalized statistics don’t have lag time, NHL are using SAP HANA, a data processing program that gives fans information at incredible speeds.

NHL’s director of digital business development Chris Foster said that in this day and age, it was imperative that every statistic was available to the user seeking it.

“You know that circle that comes up when you put something in your search and it takes a while to think? We want to avoid that.”

NHL’s number one goal is to engage fans and in its partnership with SAP, the NHL has seen 25% more site visits, 45% more time spent on site by fans, and 30% more overall fan engagement due to the “Art of Possible.”
