Yankee Stadium joins the growing list of digital stadiums
Yankee Stadium and digital customer service solutions company VenueNext, have launched a new app which allows fans in some parts of the stadium to order food and beverages for in-seat delivery.
Available to 10,000 of the total 54,000 seats stadium, the food ordering and delivery service can be used at any sports event whether its a Major League Baseball game or a Major League Soccer fixture.
The apps powered by VenueNext are aiming to give fans the perfect tool to satisfy their needs adding other services such as digital ticketing options, video content, maps and more.
After launching a digital platform for San Francisco’s Levi’s Stadium in 2014, VenueNext has formed partnerships with some of the biggest and most popular stadiums and teams in the US including AT&T Stadium, home of NFL’s Dallas Cowboys, the NBA’s Orlando Magic and the very newly announced U.S. Bank Stadium, future stadium of the NFL’s Minnesota Vikings.
The partnership of stadiums with digital solutions companies seems to be one of the primary trends that sporting venues, around the US and the world, are focused on delivering more of an enjoyable fan experience with the help of digital platforms.
As sports organisations strive to reach out to its fan bases, we’re only likely to see more of these partnerships develop, especially considering that organisations and clubs will receive data from digitally interacting with fans, which is necessary to improve the service and satisfy customers.
Such information includes, purchasing trends, what merchandise fans want to buy and who’s attending the matches is extremely valuable for clubs, teams and fans.
