Twitter ye not? (bbc sport article)

I wanted to share this on the site as it contains some of my thoughts on footballers especially using social networking sites, such as Twitter.

There is so much debate at the moment in the mainstream press that I feel it is becoming a lot more mainstream and accepted.  One reason there is so much reporting on it and no great pillaring of the platform is that most of the journalists use it and like it.

A couple of days ago I was approached by John Sinnott from BBC Sport to give me input on footballers and social media, which of course I was delighted to do so and sent him much more than was finally printed!

Its a well written article that looks at it from all sides and attempts to cover all the recent controversies which have ranged from Ryan Babels doctored picture of Howard Webb to the outspoken QPR manager Neil Warnock’s take on his players using it.

Here it is in full anyway on the BBC website.  Love to hear your thoughts on it…… http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/9359932.stm
