Panini Enlist Snack Media To Bring Premier League Sticker Album To Life Online

Collectables brand Panini have enlisted fan engagement experts Snack Media to create digital content around the iconic brand’s new Panini Tabloid product and ahead of the 2019/20 Premier League season.

Panini has sealed exclusive rights to become the official sticker album for the 19/20 Premier League season and has just launched a special commemorative newspaper sticker collection to celebrate.

Playmaker FC, Snack Media’s social media influencer squad – a collection of the freshest, funniest and most fearless football content from the next generation of football vloggers & YouTubers – will support the campaign on digital media, creating exclusive content around the Tabloid. The Playmaker squad has over 58m followers with over 50 content creators in total and over 25 clubs represented. The campaign will also benefit from being seeded out to Snack’s network of 375 football sites serving 26m fans per month.

The Panini Tabloid tells the story of last season’s Premier League campaign through Panini stickers and related editorial content, but also features QR codes which direct the user to relevant highlights from last season’s competition to tell the story in a new medium. The Playmaker FC platform will supplement this with additional content, bringing the product to a new online audience and boosting the reach of the #GotGotNeed campaign.

Chris Clover, Head of Marketing – Sport, Panini, said: “We are pleased to be working with Snack Media on the launch of the Panini Tabloid Sticker Collection, the first of many exciting Premier League products to come from the world’s number one collectables company”

Niall Coen, CEO and founder Snack Media, said: “We are delighted to continue our work with Panini after having worked with them for two years on the Football Blogging Awards. This is the beginning of an exciting new project for Panini ahead of their work with the Premier League during the 2019 / 20 season and we are privileged to play a part in that.”

“We believe that Playmaker FC is the perfect platform to bring the joy of Panini stickers to a new generation of football fan, as well as bringing the iconic football sticker album to life in the modern digital world.”
