Olympians, World Champions, and Leading Business Figures Step Up to Judge the Yahoo Sports Technology Awards
The 2019 Yahoo Sports Technology Awards is the London-based ceremony that celebrates tech-led innovation in the sports industry, now in its sixth cycle. Often hailed as ‘the Oscars of sports technology’, this year’s judging panel stays true to the claim by welcoming award-winning athletes and sporting legends from around the world.
New additions to this year’s roster include NFL Tennessee Titans line-backer Derrick Morgan, 400m Olympic hurdler Dai Greene, and triple Olympic medallist Kelly Sotherton. They join the likes of Baroness Tanni Grey-Thompson, Isa Guha and Belén Ripoll – all experts in their respective fields, each judging a selection of the 18 categories available for entry.
The Awards isn’t just judged by star athletes, however – The business side of the industry is represented by directors and c-suite executives from dozens of sports organizations who will be watching for the next wave of innovative technology to revolutionize sports in years to come.
