Major Events International are hosting the International Federations Summit in January 2020

On the 12th/ 13th February, Major Events International (MEI) will be bringing together International Federations and a delegation of best of breed industry suppliers for their 3rd annual International Federations Summit, in Lausanne, Switzerland.

As part of the MEI summit portfolio over 50 Sport Federations have been invited, with 20 already confirmed, including representatives from the governing bodies of Hockey, Rowing, Sailing, Skiing, Table Tennis, Squash, Cycling, Archery, Volleyball, Canoeing, Modern Pentathlon, Skating, Muaythai, Basketball, Teqball, Judo and F1. And these in turn have attracted representatives from host cities such as Budapest and The Hague.

The event has established its place in the industry calendar over recent years, thanks largely to the advocacy of Tom Dielen, General Secretary of World Archery, “There has never been a more important time to come together and share best practice and learn how we can mitigate risk, minimise costs and maximise revenues and efficiencies. The only way to keep up with innovation, is to understand and embrace it”

Over 8,000 events are run in any 4 year cycle by ASOIF members alone- each needs the support of best of breed suppliers. This is the place to meet the people who decide where those events will be staged, and to provide introductions to LOC’s.

The summit offers like minded professionals from across the major sporting events industry to discuss best practice and solutions around event delivery, fan engagement, safety and security of crowded places and much more on a global stage.

The format gives real opportunity for interaction with roundtables and informal presentations opening the door for Federations who share upcoming plans, provide an overview of event dates and discuss challenges faced, giving suppliers the opportunity to outline their expertise and propose a variety of solutions and best practice.
