Juventus gets heavy on fan engagement with JPassport

To celebrate its 118th anniversary, global football giant Juventus has launched a social media initiative aimed at bringing Juventus fans together and unite them under the same banner, ensuring that each fan has input into how the club projects itself.

Launched on Monday, a day that the club has dubbed #JuventusDay, the multi-faceted social media campaign involves fans signing up to receive their very own JPassport, a unique electronic document that Juventus fans sign up for that is tailor-made to their own profile.

Fans who sign up to the JPassport are then entered into a competition to become one of five club ambassadors to represent the team later in the month.

With approximately 20 million fans, Juventus has looked to capitalise on it’s number of fans by enabling them to interact directly with the club with the establishment of a ‘constitution’.

From allowing fans to determine ‘articles’ of this ‘constitution’ to releasing a number of hashtag initiatives including #JuventusNation #IfWeGetToTheFinal, the football club has really looked to increase its reach to its fans around the world. Articles of the constitution so far include;

Article 6: There’s only one Juventus to be loved and supported, fino alla fine

And another

Article 7: There’s no room for racism in Juventus Nation

The roll-out of the social media campaign has included significant exposure from the team’s social media channels. And while the JPassport is essentially an entry into a competition, it’s one of the more creative ones we’ve seen in a little while. Thanks to you, we’ve reached an incredible landmark of 20 million likes on Facebook, more than enough to found our own country!Are you one of us? Apply for your JPassport here: nation.juventus.com
