Inter Milan Reaches Agreement with Le Sports

Italian football giant Inter Milan has officially entered the Asian market by signing a deal with Chinese-based streaming company Le Sports who will now broadcast official content across its platforms.

The two-year deal will see Inter join the growing trend of European clubs put emphasis on establishing a digital presence in Asia. With access to full replays of Serie A and Coppa Italia games, exclusive press conferences, interviews and local content, the network will become Inter Milan’s official broadcast partner for Mainland China.

Over recent weeks, other major clubs like Manchester United, AS Roma and Bayern Munich have targeted Asia in order to increase their brand awareness by partnering up with various well-known Asian companies to gain more fans in different areas of the world.

Inter chief executive Michael Bolingbroke said that the growing trend of football clubs focusing on China is why the partnership was important – not only to gain more fans but target the 190 million fans in the Asia Pacific region that already supports Inter Milan.

“This new partnership with Le Sports is a major step for Inter in China. It allows us to deliver actions from all of our matches, plus other exclusive behind the scenes club content, and engage fully with our ever increasing Chinese fan base,” says Bolingbroke.

Inter’s hopes are that that this exclusive partnership will allow fans in this region to feel closer to the club.
