Golf Canada partners with Stadium Digital to launch new engagement platforms

Golf Canada has partnered with with leading fan engagement company Stadium Digital to relaunch GolfCanada.ca, home of the national governing body of Canadian golf.

The new platform includes the introduction of a responsive national website network of Canada’s provincial golf associations. The first of these websites to launch is albertagolf.org, and the remaining provincial sites are in progress.

Canadian sports technology leader, Stadium Digital, developed a bilingual platform with a focus on content. The platform now has a content hub optimized for sharing news, information and highlights of Golf Canada’s championships, programs and services for golfers, and new original content.

“The launch of our new bilingual digital network is an important evolution in golfer engagement for Golf Canada and our provincial associations, allowing us to go well beyond our previous capabilities,” said Golf Canada Interim CEO Jeff Thompson. “Stadium Digital’s network infrastructure platform gives us the much-needed scale so we can connect with our golfers, fans, partners and sponsors in a much more meaningful way.”

GolfCanada.ca is the primary destination for millions of Canadian golfers and 1,400 member golf clubs across the country. This development was partially supported through a grant from the Canadian Olympic Committee’s National Sports Federation Enhancement Fund, a program designed to help national federations create efficiencies and enhancements.

The platform, hosted on Microsoft Azure Cloud Platform, is optimized for all devices. The infrastructure allows for the customization of provincial websites while under a single network.

Features of the new platform include a new content hub and video player, a standardized look for teams and championships, content sharing across provincial associations, improved member services, sponsorship opportunities, original content, and enhanced navigation all with bilingual capabilities.

Stadium Digital specializes in the creation and management of content and technology to deliver products in the areas of sponsorship, fan engagement, ticketing and e-commerce. The company was formed to help sports and entertainment properties and their partners realize the full potential of their brand and investment around their content rights.
