French club Toulouse are winners on social media

Toulouse know all about losing. It’s not just in the name, but the French Ligue 1 club only managed to escape relegation from the top flight on the very last day of last season.

Since then, though, Toulouse know all about winning, too. When their current manager Pascal Dupraz took the reins in March, le TFC were 10 points from safety and looked as good as gone.

They stayed up, though, and this season they’ve continued their good form: they currently sit sixth, above Lyon on goal difference and having already beaten PSG and Monaco. And that’s despite losing their best player, Wissam Ben Yedder, to Sevilla in the summer.

And on social media, it looks like Toulouse are winning again!

Taking to Twitter in the wake of the US Presidential Election result, the French club tweeted to Hillary Clinton supported Beyonce, offering her a free season ticket and inviting her to make the Stadium de Toulouse her new home, after Donald Trump secured election victory.

The little goodie bag they seem to have offered her even comes with a t-shirt which reads ‘It’s better to smile than to sulk’. Though perhaps the morning after the night before isn’t quite the time for such a sentiment.
