BBC Sport goes 360° at Wembley

What’s it like to experience a big game at Wembley Stadium? BBC Sport have provided an insight into the famous ground by releasing an exclusive 360° video ahead of the FA Cup final on Saturday. The footage, which is from Manchester United’s semi-final win against Everton in April, features a VR look at the warm-ups, tunnel line-up and fan celebrations:

A retro-gaming activation for Roland Garros

French broadcast leaders Eurosport and CanalSat have released a retro mini-game for mobile. The game, which also works on desktop, lets a user help World Number 1 Novak Djokovic in his quest to win the Grand Slam for the first time. It’s a tennis version of Whac-A-Mole, with the Serbian’s opponents popping up on the clay courts of Paris.

The collaboration between the two channels is a truly unique take on digital engagement, and CanalSat are also inviting competitors to share their best score for a chance to win two tickets to the tournament. Have a play here:

X Men enlist Wayne Rooney to stop Apoca-who?

In a partnership that’s becoming increasingly common, particularly when it comes to Manchester United, a film advertisement has been released on the club’s social media platforms. But this is no ordinary trailer. The clip sees Professor X and his team of superheroes discussing the world’s population of mutants – specifically the ones that play at Old Trafford – and recruiting them to join the X-Men in preventing the impending apocalypse.

The video is part of United’s ongoing commercial deal with 20th Century Fox – the same deal that saw the club advertise Deadpool in a similar fashion.

It also features an inspired cameo from Wayne Rooney, who seems to struggle with the role despite the fact that he’s simply playing himself. And it’s not the first time the 30-year-old has showcased his acting skills.
