Daily Digest: NBA have a new game plan and original social content still wins

The end to another week in digital sports in almost upon us. Congratulations to all those who picked up an award (and all the nominees too) at last night’s Sports Technology Awards. You can check out who won what here. Another slick event from Rebecca Hopkins and her team, and Mark Chapman did his usual great job as host.

If you’re UK based, have a great bank holiday weekend – it sounds like the sun is coming out to play just in time. So I’m expecting to see lots of red faces next week in London (we’re not used to seeing the sun here!). Here’s my final digest of the week, I’ll see you again on Tuesday…

With year-on-year record attendances, a growing TV audience and constant testing with new initiatives in women’s basketball, esports and on social media. A must-read for all in sports business.

Love how adidas are working with influencers at all levels, including here on a local level with top brands. Involving them in competition and creating content from it. You just have to see how Tango Squad has shifted the way brands look at influencers to work in their marketing campaigns to get an idea as to how they see the future.
