Brandtix and 90/24 Sports to help athletes harness the power of social

Brandtix, the world’s first real-time index of elite athlete and team value based on performance and social media appeal, has teamed up with the sports and social media company, 90/24 Sports, to bring athletes stats and social data in order to aid their social media power.

90/24 Sports is a digital media company, operating at the crossroads of sports, content and social media. It aims to help top athletes communicate with their fans and enables brands to effectively target their audiences.

Many of the world’s top athletes – such as Kyle Walker, Per Mertesacker, Jesse Lingard and Robin van Persie – work with 90/24 Sports to share personal stories to worldwide audiences, revealing unique insights into their professional and private lives. New content is published across all major online platforms every day, reaching tens of millions across the globe.

As part of the partnership, Brandtix will provide its unique real-time social data for 90/24 Sports’ athletes, using its data analytics to assess their social media power – including engagement, sentiment and geographic fan base.

The Brandtix Index reflects how a team or player’s value goes up and down in line with key events – such as big-money transfers, key victories, losses, scandals and many more factors. Brandtix’s indexing takes into consideration the importance of social media profiles and online opinion as well as on-pitch performance.

Jon Rosenblatt, Chief Executive, Brandtix, said in a press release, “We are delighted to be working with 90/24 Sport. The combination of Brandtix’s analytics and content will create the perfect blend of stats, analysis and sentiment. Our analysis will also allow 90/24 Sport to create more compelling content with their players and brands based on our real-time intelligence. This overview of the current state-of-play in both sporting and social arenas will give a new dimension to the 90/24 services, providing a snapshot of significant data, including top performers and trends.”

Nicolas Griffioen, Digital Marketing Strategist for 90/24 Sports added, “This is an important partnership for 90/24 Sport as measuring the impact of content created by our members will help us to optimize and tailor our content. We help top athletes share personal stories to worldwide audiences. We get up close and personal, and reveal unique insights into their professional and private lives. Having the stats to support how this is being received is a significant enhancement for our service.”
