ALFA ROMEO RACING ORLEN FORMULA ONE TEAM EXTEND PARTNERSHIP WITH BUILT FOR ATHLETES

Alfa Romeo Racing ORLEN Formula One team and Built for Athletes are set to continue their successful partnership for the 2021 world championship.

After a successful first year supplying the Hero 1.0 backpack to the historic team, Built for Athletes will now provide the Alfa Romeo Racing ORLEN Formula One team, including drivers Kimi Räikkönen, Antonio Giovinazzi and Robert Kubica with the next generation Hero 2.0 backpack for the 2021 season.

As the team’s official backpack supplier, Built for Athletes will equip the Alfa Romeo Racing ORLEN squad with their award winning 45L backpack which can handle any racing setting, from the dry deserts of the Middle East to the humid urban climates of South East Asia.

Frédéric Vasseur, Team Principal Alfa Romeo Racing ORLEN and CEO Sauber Motorsport AG: “We are very pleased to extend our successful partnership with Built for Athletes. The Hero backpack proved a very popular accessory with everyone in the team: practical, with lots of capacity and suited to our demanding travel schedules. The Hero 2.0 version is the direct result of the feedback of the team: Built for Athletes delivered another great product that will serve us well from the start of the season until the very end.”

Nick Costello, Founder at Built for Athletes: “We’re delighted to continue our partnership with one of the most historic racing teams on the grid and remain the official backpack supplier of Alfa Romeo Racing ORLEN for the 2021 season. Designing the 2021 ARRO backpack has been a collaborative process and we’re confident the end result is a functional, versatile and robust product which will become a core piece of kit for Alfa Romeo Racing ORLEN mechanics, engineers, management team and drivers alike.”

Danny Costello, Marketing Director at Built for Athletes: “We’re thrilled to continue supporting the Alfa Romeo Racing ORLEN team for the 2021 season. Being chosen again as official backpack supplier for such a prestigious racing team is a great achievement for the brand, something we’re very proud of and a fantastic endorsement for the quality of our products.”

Featuring a deep black body with red inserts and adorned with the team logo, the Hero 2.0 backpack will incorporate new features – such as two side holders for 750ml bottles, a full Velcro upper pocket for maximum personalisation and laser-cut MOLLE webbing for a stronger and cleaner aesthetic – developed as a result of the team’s experience in the 2020 season.

The practical compartments provide lots of storage opportunities for the technical and personal equipment of travelling personnel, including PPE, sanitizer and other hygiene devices hat have become commonplace since the start of the Covid pandemic.

Improved, resilient and reliable, the Hero 2.0 backpack will be a trusted companion for every team member in the paddock and on their travels.
