Steph Curry’s stats on NBA 2K to be maxed out
To celebrate Golden State Warriors superstar Stephen Curry becoming the first ever unanimously elected MVP for the 2015/2016 season, his stats on the popular video game NBA 2K will be maxed out.
Apart of an activation by sponsor Under Armour, Curry’s rating on the game will be increased from 95 up to 99 rating for 30 hours (Steph Curry’s shirt number) and will be higher than any other player to have been featured in the game.
Available from 6pm today in the US and 10pm in the UK, gamers will be able to update the game which will reflect Curry’s new rating.
Chief marketing officer at Under Armour Kip Fulks said that Curry’s impact on basketball is immeasurable and it’s not just a celebration of his incredible feat but a testament to the kind of athlete he is.
“His game is unlike anything we’ve ever seen in the NBA. At Under Armour we are thrilled and humbled to be alongside Stephen on this journey, and look forward to his continued perseverance in making himself a better athlete every single day,” he said.
After launching a creative video activation on Twitter as part of the NBA Playoffs, Under Armour continues to seek new ways to further their engagement via their superstar ambassador.
