Juventus goes mad on social media following title win

After winning their fifth Serie A title in a row and the 34th in the club’s history, Juventus has taken to social media to celebrate.

With the club often spoken about as one of the best and most interactive football teams in terms of its social media activity, it’s 25 million fans across Facebook, Twitter and Instagram have been treated to an outpouring of celebratory content after Roma beat Napoli securing the title for Juventus.

To celebrate the new Scudetto, Juventus unveiled their activation on social media with a wave of content based on the slogan “We Made Hi5tory”, which was boosted by the hashtag #Hi5tory.

Throughout the evening, the club’s social media platforms exploded with content of the players celebrating the title win, especially on Twitter and Snapchat. From players opening champagne and drinking on the training pitch to celebrating with fans, photos and videos were sent far and wide to its social media audience.

On Twitter, users were invited to join the movement sharing their celebration using the hashtag #Hi5tory.

The club also chimed in with some original creative features including gifs as the #Hi5tory theme was repeated massively. Juventus also unveiled a movie of the season which showcases the story of the season and how the club won their fifth title in a row.

The best thing about Juventus’ social celebration is that it was done rather simply. Depicting the players partying in real-time, the content broke the typical mold of team social media strategies. However, the gamble has absolutely paid off, putting together some real fine pieces of content which are both humourous and creative.
