GoPro launches video series to celebrate TDF deal renewal

GoPro has launched a new video series focused on competitive cycling to celebrate the renewal of their deal with Tour de France organizer ASO.

Called “Beyond the Race – an inside look at competitive cycling”, GoPro will equip numerous cyclists in a number of different teams with GoPro cameras in order to give the viewers a unique look behind the scenes of competitive cycling.

From each peak traversed to the pain suffered by the cyclists at training behind the scenes, the GoPros will assist them in sharing first hand accounts of what it takes to be a professional cyclist.

The first episode (below) provides new insights and behind-the-scenes footage from the most famous spring classic Paris-Roubaix, or better known as The Hell of The North. The videos will ramp up to the Tour de France which kicks off 2 July 2016.

The partnership is a renewal of a deal that was established in 2015 with ASO looking to make a better connection between cycling and its fans. And it works three fold with the partnership helping cycling expand its audience, reaching out to new crowds, gives individual cyclists a profile as well as promotes the use and the versatility of the GoPro camera
