Gatorade narrates Bolt’s journey in 3D animated film
Sprinting star Usain Bolt has teamed up with Gatorade to release a wonderful animation based on his life story. Titled “The Boy Who Learned To Fly”, the video was created by MoonBot Studios and focuses on the athlete’s journey from childhood dreamer to global superstar. Viewers can relive his rise to stardom in a seven-minute film, viewing his journey from a new perspective in this 3D animation format.
The ad loosely traces Bolt’s beginnings as a schoolboy in rural Jamaica, his introduction to the sport of track and field and his struggles to manage the weight of expectations before eventually becoming an icon of the sport.
The Jamaican has been particularly present on social media recently with Virgin’s #BeTheFastest campaign and it is clear that brands are getting ready for the Olympics. This summer in Rio, Bolt will aim to become the first man to claim the 100m, 200m and 4x100m relay titles at three consecutive Olympic Games.
