Dark Horses to join cricket’s end of season party at The Oval

Recently launched sports marketing agency, Dark Horses, has confirmed its appointment by Yorkshire Tea for its brand sponsorship of the Tea20 Charity Cricket Challenge at The Kia Oval this evening (Thursday 22nd September).

There will be a combination of youth and experience at the Yorkshire Tea20 Charity Challenge fixture; with both Sam Curran and Adam Hollioake confirmed to play for Surrey.

The pair will join the likes of Kevin Pietersen, Saqlain Mustaq, Harbhajan Singh and Jade Dernbach, under the management of club legend Alec Stewart.

They will take on a Cricket United XI, managed by Michael Vaughan and featuring cricketing superstars such as Darren Sammy, Virender Sehwag and Saeed Ajmal as well as young English talent such as Ben Duckett, who was recently called up for the England Test squad to tour Bangladesh.

As well as aiming to raise money for Cricket United, a collaboration between three major cricketing charities Chance to Shine, the Lord’s Taverners and the PCA Benevolent Fund, the game will once again act as an end of season T20 party for the Kia Oval.

Dark Horses MD Simon Dent commented: “It’s a huge honour to be working with Yorkshire Tea at this fantastic event. We hope that the fans attending have a great day and raise some serious money for the valuable charitable endeavours of Cricket United.”

Kevin Sinfield from Yorkshire Tea commented: “Dark Horses is a brand new agency and impressed us with their hunger, as well as their fresh thinking. We’re looking forward to doing something different with them, that will help make this a day to remember.”
