Camp Nou naming rights up for grabs

The Champions of Europe FC Barcelona is working with US company Van Wagner Sports and Entertainment in order to secure a lucrative sponsorship deal for its stadium, the Camp Nou.

The deal in which FC Barcelona will hope to balance its ledger, will be handled by Van Wagner who are specialists in this particular area. Van Wagner has worked with some of the biggest sports teams across the world in their stadium sponsorship strategies including the New York Jets and Giants in the NFL and Arsenal Football Club with the Emirates Stadium.

It is reported that FC Barcelona are targeting a contract of approximately €20 million per year with the deal starting in the new season.

In January 2014, FC Barcelona’s President Sandro Rosell announced the Espai Barça stadium remodelling project in order to bring the new Camp Nou capacity up to 105 000 seats in 2021. The project was expected to exceed €600 million project which justifies the endeavour to find a stadium naming sponsor.
